Executive Board Member

I’ve lived in the Diamond Community (DC) for over six decades.  I am a volunteer for the Community Investment Fund San Diego LLC (CIF), headquartered in the DC.

My involvement in the DC includes a founding family member of the Bayview Baptist Church; board member of the Community Outreach Foundation, Christian Fellowship UCC; treasurer of the Diamond Community Investors Advisory Council (DCIAC); and current board member of the CIF.

For me, consensus building has proven to be the best method for reaching actionable decisions that give the best results.

Professionally and academically I am a Certified Public Accountant licensed (active) by California to sign attestation reports, including audit reports and I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. I am an expert on internal controls with institutional knowledge of government and not for profits financial management policies and procedures.  My functionally applied expertise is expressed as a founding member of the African American Association of County Employees, a County of San Diego employees organized to benefit all County employees.

Other community work include:

• Prior Chairman of the Lincoln Academy (High School) Site Council.

• Prior Member of the San Diego City Schools District Advisory Council.

• Prior Adjutant Professor (Accounting) at San Diego City College.
